About Melanie Pritchard

Melanie Pritchard recently joined her mom in the real estate industry and has taken up the mission of providing sellers and buyers in the surrounding Ellicottville, NY, market with professional, dedicated service. She worked at Channel 7 News from 1997 to 2008, holding various on-air and behind-the-scene positions with the news organization. You may have seen her on the 5 p.m. news, where she was co-anchor since 2006.

A native of Salamanca, Melanie has spent her career in Western New York. After graduating from Ithaca College in 1989, she spent more than 11 years in local radio...working at WJJL-AM in Niagara Falls...then WGR-AM and WBEN-AM in Buffalo.

Melanie looks forward to working along side her mother, Cathy, as she begins her new career. Melanie now lives in Ellicottville with her long-time boyfriend, Darin Wiechman, who is a native of Ellicottville. They have three dogs and three cats.
